This story was written by Natasha's (Tash) father chronicling the events and feelings, using poems and pictures, that led to the ending of her short life.
I hope that I have written the best part of the trials and tribulations that all our family has had to suffer. I promised that I would write this book to dedicate it to Natasha and her daughters, Phoebe aged 6 and tiffany 4.
I cannot imagine the fear and the thought of the unknown that must go through the mind of anyone diagnosed with cancer. Our daughter came around our house one day as normal and said sit down mum and dad i have something to tell you. "I have been diagnosed with breast cancer."
Oh no! we will have to go through all this again (our daughter Michelle died of Acute Lymphomblastic Leukaemia 26 years ago, aged 2).
Natasha was born in Shifnal Cottage Hospital in 1974 and attended Stirchley Upper School now The Lord Silkin School.
She went to Telford College of Arts and Technology to learn hairdressing. After obtaining her certificate she found that she was allergic to the chemicals and changed her career to catering.
Working in many of the restaurants and food outlets in Telford and ending up at The Shropshire as a fully trained chef.
Natasha became a child-carer after passing an NVQ at a local centre and made home made cards, such was her abilities. In 2004 she discovered a lump in her Breast, after an M.R.I. Scan (Magnetic Resonance Imaging scan) it was confirmed that it was Breast Cancer.
This book is the story of her life through the treatments and difficulties involved.
The hope in the early times of treatment was very high and Natasha was always positive in every way.
Through her treatment and brief remission to the final part of her life, achieving her dreams and wishes before her death.
The proceeds of this book will be given to her children, Phoebe and Tiffany, as a legacy from their mum.
